Election Announcement Period 24/24

Which election?

The annual election of the new FemRef representatives is just around the corner!
All WLINTA* (women, lesbians, inter, non-binary and agender) students of the Carl von Ossietzy University are eligible to vote and can register themselves as a candidate.
A total of seven spokespeople for the self-organized team will be up for election.

What is it all about?

The seven representatives are the spokespersons for the WLINTA* students at CvO Uni and stand up for their concerns and interests.
As an autonomous committee, the FemRef is a self-governing body and decisions and actions are discussed together in weekly plenary sessions, together with the students.
The focus is always solidarity-based, queer-feminist work by and for WLINTA* students.

What do you do as a representative?

The tasks of representatives are diverse: networking in the queer-feminist scene, organizing events, counselling, working in university politics, public relations, managing finances, looking after your own library and much more! The weekly plenary session and office hours are an integral part of the work.

As a speaker, 5 hours a week are planned, for which you will get a compensation of 250€.

How do I apply?

If you would like to run in the election for the new team, just drop by our office during office hours.
From now on, you will receive an application form from us, which you can hand in personally at our office by May 7. You can also download the form on our website.
Together with the application forms of the other candidates, this will then be publicly displayed from May 8 until the election.

When is the election?

Our election week is happening from the 21st until the 24th of May.

Uni Campus Wechloy, Mensa Foyer: 21., 10am-04pm

Uni Campus Haarentor, Mensa Foyer: 22. & 23., 10am-04pm each

The announcement of the election results will take place at the WLINTA* General Assembly on May 24th at 2 pm at the UfO.

If you have any questions about the election (or anything else), you can always come to us during office hours.
On the 29th april from 12am-3pm you can inform yourself in the foyer of the Mensa Uhlhornsweg and on the 30th from 12am-3pm in the foyer of the Mensa Wechloy.
In addition, we offer a special get-to-know-us plenary session on the 26th april from 10-12 am.
You can also get to know us, the FemRef and perhaps other interested people personally and in a relaxed atmosphere at the UfO on the 26th april from 1-3pm.
